Transferability
CWI delivers college credit instruction through its memorandum of understanding with the College of Southern Idaho (CSI). Credits earned at CWI appear on CSI transcripts and are transferable to Idaho colleges and universities, and most other institutions outside the state. Colleges and universities outside the state of Idaho and private institutions within the state are not bound by the same credit transfer policy, so you should always check institutional transfer polices before registering for Dual Credit coursework.

Before You Enroll
- Dual credit courses require extra effort and personal responsibility. A dual credit course may be more rigorous than other courses you’ve taken in high school and the expectation will be that you participate at the same level as a regular college student. It is important to note that most classes require up to two hours of out-of-class study for every one hour of classroom time.
- As a college student, you are expected to conduct yourself as a responsible adult. This includes, but is not limited to, attending class, seeking academic help, and addressing any problems you may have directly with your instructors. Rights and responsibilities of CWI students are outlined in the CWI Student Handbook.
- All grades will becomes part of your permanent college transcript and will be calculated into your college GPA.
- Dual credit students are responsible for requesting a withdrawal if they transfer out of a class for which they registered for credit. Failure to do so will result in a failing grade.
Be sure that this opportunity for a head start on a college education leads to an academic record that gives you an advantage when you enroll in college after high school graduation. If you have any questions, please call the Dual Credit Office at 208.562.3247.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if I need to withdraw from a class?
It’s important to remember that you are enrolled in both a high school class and a college class. Withdrawing from the high school class does not automatically withdraw you from the college class. You must officially drop the college class by contacting the Dual Credit Director, 208.562.3247. You will be dropped from the course and a “W” (withdraw) will be posted to your transcript. A “W” does not count toward your GPA. However, if you fail to notify the coordinator you will still be registered in the CWI class, and a failing grade will be posted to your transcript.
How do I get my grades and transcripts?
Grades are not mailed to you. Once a grade for your class has been posted, it can be viewed and printed by logging onto your myCWI student account. Official transcripts can be ordered using several methods. The following link will provide you with information on ordering “Official Transcripts”:
