Chris Ponte is a College of Western Idaho alum who graduated from the school’s dental assisting program back in 2019. Being a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions as well as earning an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Assisting and an Associates of Liberal Arts, Mr. Ponte went into Public Health. Working with the Treasure Valley’s own federally qualified community health center: Terry Reilly Health Services, the last five years have been quite rewarding when it comes to giving people quality and affordable healthcare. Working in Public Health has given Mr. Ponte to opportunity to help various cultural demographics within the Treasure Valley. To better educate his patients, Mr. Ponte attended Boise State University and earned two bachelor’s degrees: Bachelor’s of Applied Science and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Spanish.
In his leisure time, Mr. Ponte has been singing with the Boise Choruses, a local community based choir, for the past couple of years. Music is his hobby, whether it be singing, listening, or dancing to music. His music library is vast but has seen an influx of K-pop in recent years.
