Tim joined the faculty of the CWI Exercise and Health Science department in August of 2013. Prior to working at CWI Tim worked as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in with Dr. Massimo Testa in his Sports Medicine practice. He was, and still is, a professional endurance coach specializing in working with mountain bikers, a sport which Tim competed in as a CAT1 and PRO cross country racer prior to graduate school. Currently, he is the newest full time faculty hire in the Exercise and Health Science department and loves to teach the anatomical foundations class. He has stated that he is excited to work at CWI, and especially excited to help build the Exercise and Health Science department and the new exercise physiology performance laboratory.
Originally, Tim is from Kansas City but has spent a large amount of time living in Colorado in the ski town of Crested Butte. While living in the high Rockies he attended Western State College of Colorado where he completed his BA in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in biology. Tim’s graduate work followed at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse under the guidance of Drs. John Porcari and Carl Foster. In graduate school, he completed several hundred hours in work with clinical populations along with his research thesis focused on the athletic performance of endurance athletes.
