I am a Clinical and Sports Performance Exercise Physiologist. I received my Master's Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse but also worked on sports performance topics for my thesis research. Currently, I am still involved with both clinical and sports performance worlds between the courses I teach at CWI as well as graduate-level courses I teach at Boise State University along with my work with the US Speed Skating team. Outside of Academia, I work with the Idaho Interscholastic Cycling League which oversees and runs all middle school and high school mountain bike teams in our state as well as the National Interscholastic Cycling Association, which oversees the sport for around 31 states. In these leagues, I work with coaching education and training both in person and online. I currently also hold the American College of Sports Medicine Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Exercise is Medicine certification.

In my free time, there is a range of activities that I enjoy participating in. As an exercise physiologist, it is no surprise that one of them is exercise mainly in the form of mountain biking and resistance training. In the past, I was a cross-country mountain bike racer at the pro license level before I quit. More recently I have found my way back into bike racing in the form of cyclocross. I also enjoy baking and cooking as often as possible, especially related to breads and novel cooking techniques.
