Robert Keenan has been an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics at CWI since the fall of 2013. He has taught College Algebra and Math in Modern Society. He also tutors individuals and teaches Mathematics at TVCC.
Mr Keenan was raised in Boise and graduated from Borah High School. From there he graduated from Army Basic Training at Fort Ord, CA, and then spent a semester at Boise Junior College. He was then fortunate to receive an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Following two tours in Vietnam, he returned to earn a fellowship at Stevens Institute of Technology where he received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After twenty six years of Army service, spent in almost every corner of the world, he retired and moved his family back to Boise. After ten years running his own businesses, he decided to pursue his first love of teaching math.
Mr Keenan now lives in Meridian, Idaho, where all his children and grandchildren live. He enjoys introducing his grandsons to new adventures in sports and academics. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, racquetball, golf, and not least, gardening.
