Ken Collett

Faculty - Adjunct

Ken graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and later, after working as a design engineer for a few years, he returned to the U of I and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree.

He worked as a design engineer in Portland, Oregon and Milwaukee, Wisconsin designing heavy equipment.  Ken joined his brother and worked at Media Specialties, a custom photo lab where he designed, built and maintained photo lab equipment and processed tons of film over the years.

He taught Physics in High School, and Engineering Technology at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon. He tutored math students at Huntington Learning Centers, taught math at Stevens-Heneger College, and came to CWI in the Spring of 2011 as an adjunct math teacher.

Ken has enjoyed photography, hunting, fishing and gardening.  He is very inventive and loves solving problems and building his crazy inventions.  Asked what his hobbies are now, he smiled and said, “reading recipe books, cooking, eating and then dieting”.
