College of Western Idaho (CWI) is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees. Trustee positions are non-partisan and represent the entire CWI district for a four-year term unless otherwise specified.
While no individual trustee is responsible for the overall governance of CWI, each trustee, acting as a board member, is critical to the operations of the College by preparing for and attending monthly meetings, participating in one of four board committees, and serving the best interests of the CWI student body, employees, and surrounding community members. Currently, regular Board of Trustee meetings are set for the second Thursday of each month, with special meetings occurring as needed. For more information on the roles and responsibilities of CWI Trustees, please see the Board of Trustees Handbook.
