Prior to coming to CWI, Shannon gained most of her customer service and professional skills through residential and commercial real estate. Shannon’s experience in working with fast growing companies provided opportunities to take on new challenges that she has been able to apply to her current position within CWI’s Dual Credit Department. Since joining Dual Credit, Shannon has helped facilitate a fast-expanding dual credit program, bringing college opportunities to an increasing number of high school students across the state.
In her spare time, Shannon loves to spend time with her daughter, son and husband of 17 years and loves participating in a wide array of outdoor activities in Idaho!

She was born and raised in Idaho but moved to Oregon in the 70’s. She says there is no place like Idaho and is so grateful to be back home.
I am originally from Oregon, born & raised. I lived in a small town and stayed close to home while I attended Walla Walla Community College for my Associates of Arts degree. I continued my education at Eastern Oregon University where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After graduating from college I moved to Idaho where I had visited a lot and also have family.
I’m excited for my new journey with the College of Western Idaho. I originally began my employment at CWI in the beginning of April as an administrative assistant for the Business Office. I am now one of the Transition Coordinators working with Dual Credit and Career and Technical Education (formerly Professional Technical Education). I’m so excited for this new chapter in my career and what the year will bring.
I enjoy TV shows to relax after work. I listen to music as much as possible. And I am an animal lover, I have a pug and a golden retriever. You can find us on long walks on the weekends exploring new areas around Idaho. I am a water girl, I swam competitively for 10 years and I love being anywhere in, or around water. I’m slightly OCD when it comes to organization & cleaning. And although some people in my life might say I have a large problem, really I don’t - I can fully admit I am a shopaholic.
