- You are taking this course voluntarily to receive a 3-point reduction on your Idaho Driver's License record.
- The Idaho Transportation Department Division of Motor Vehicles allows you to take this course for a 3-point credit once every three (3) years.
- You may need to take it to satisfy a court order.
- Students who satisfactorily complete this 6-hour course may now also get insurance premium reductions. Individuals should contact their insurance companies to advise as to whether or not they offer this discount for their insures.
- Your employer requires you to attend a Defensive Driving Course.
The Idaho Transportation has reviewed and approved this Online Course. If you are taking this course voluntarily for point reduction or the court requires you to take a Defensive Driving Course, you are eligible. Your court may or may not accept the certificate of completion. It is your responsibility to determine if your court accepts on-line defensive driving courses.
You can complete the course at your own pace logging on and off as many times as necessary to complete the course.
You will receive your Certificate of Completion immediately after you have passed your 15-30 minute Final Exam, which you must take in-person at our testing site. You will be permitted to take the final exam after we have checked your identification and verified that you have completed the 11 Sessions on-line.
pay for it?
The cost of the course is $40. You will pay this fee once you have passed the Final Exam at our testing site in order to receive your Certificate of Completion. A money order is our preferred method of payment. Cash will be accepted. No personal checks or credit cards please.

There are NO special system requirements or downloads necessary to take this on-line course.
- To begin, return to our Home Page and click on the "all new users click here to register" link on the left hand side of the page or on the "register" link at the bottom of that same page.
- Select your course.
- Fill out the Registration form.
- Review the information and click on the "register" button.
- The list of sections will appear. Click on the "start course" button to begin learning!
the course?
No. You can log-in, re-enter, and take the course using any computer with any type of Internet connection.
completing only some of the sessions, how do I
re-enter the course?
Simply go to our "Sign Up" page and in the "Re-Enter the Course" section on the left, enter your First Name, Last Name, and Birthday (mm/dd/yy) just as you did when you registered for the course. Then hit the "login!" button to resume the course. Don't worry, our student progress monitoring feature will allow to pick up exactly where you left off.
You may review and retake the course on-line for FREE until you pass.
