Overview

Get a start in the healthcare industry with the skills that employers are looking for. The healthcare industry prefers to hire candidates with experience and expertise in billing, coding, and insurance. This course prepares students to work in a medical office and prepares them for the AAPC national certification exam (CPC).

The student is trained to read clinical and hospital notes and assigns the appropriate codes to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Insurance rules, regulations, and terminology are also covered to best prepare the student for work in a billing and coding environment. The class covers CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
