Electrocardiogram (EKG) Certification

This class will educate and prepare you with the knowledge and skills for patient preparation and education, operation of the EKG, elimination of artifacts, proper placement of leads, and the necessary maintenance and care of the equipment.
Your learning experience will include four hours of classroom and hands on training led by qualified and trained instructors.

What You Will Learn to Do
- Explain heart anatomy and basic electrophysiology
- Successfully perform EKG
- Explain normal EKG measurements
- Recognize basic arrhythmias
- Proper placement of limb leads and precordial leads
- Perform EKG accurately to ensure a reliable and precise recording
- Recognize interference or artifacts
