CWI Workforce Development offers Online Dental Assistant training to advance your career.

Dental Assisting Fundamentals:

Enhance or begin your career as a dental assistant. Recognized by dentists as valid preparation for entry-level positions, this course is the first step toward furthering your career in dentistry. You will gain in-depth instruction in all aspects of dental materials, cavity classification, infection control, charting, terminology, local anesthetics, and legal/ethical dental issues.

Mastery Series of Expanded Functions:

These courses will allow you to take charge of your dental career and excel in your field by preparing you to mastering more dentistry skills.  Courses are approved by the Idaho State Board of Dentistry and will help you increase your job value in six specified dental procedures. Take one or all of these courses and continue to strive toward mastery!

Dental Assisting Fundamentals:

            Pre-requisite – Currently employed by a dentist

Mastery Series of Expanded Functions:

            Pre-requisites –

  • Six months experience as a dental assistant
  • Currently employed by a dentist who will sign an agreement for you to take the course and meet one of the following criteria:
    • Currently certified by the Dental Assisting National Board
    • OR Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
    • OR Successful completion or challenge of Dental Assisting Fundamentals

Costs

  • Dental Assisting Fundamentals – 32 hours of instruction, $475
  • Alginate Impressions – 12 hours of instruction, $310
  • Polishing of Amalgam Restorations – 7 hours of instruction, $310
  • Temporary Crowns – 21 hours of instruction, $310
  • Pit & Fissure Sealants – 10 hours of instruction, $310
  • Coronal Polishing – 16 hours of instruction, $310
  • Nitrous Oxide – 7 hours of instruction, $310
