Mark Dunham graduated from Boise State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication. From 1985-2003 he served as CEO of the Idaho Association of REALTORS®. Dunham also has served as a Director of Government Relations for Boise State University, Vice President for the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry, and Executive Director for the Idaho Associated General Contractors.
He has a solid background in many civic, political and volunteer activities. Notable achievements include his election in 2008, 2012 and 2016 to the Board of Trustees for the College of Western Idaho and his 2006 appointment as Chairman of the Board of the Idaho Partners for Homebuyer Education. He was appointed by Governor Butch Otter in 2013 to serve on the Board of the Idaho Housing and Finance Association and the Housing Company. In January of 2012, Dunham had two strokes and now he serves on the Board of the American Heart and Stroke Association. He is a past president of the Boise State Alumni Association.
