Rick Coonrod earned a BA in English and an MFA in Creative Writing from Boise State University. Even still, football does not exist in his personal universe. He is a huge nerd, and spends a lot of time reading and playing Legos with his boys. Outside of that, he tries to get out in nature as much as possible.
Rick has taught many different classes over the years, including developmental writing, grammar, composition, study skills, fiction writing, and basic literacy. He has presented at several Writing Center conferences and has creative writing published in various journals and anthologies.
At CWI, he is currently the Writing Center Coordinator and teaches classes for both the English and Education departments. He truly loves working at CWI because it is a rare opportunity to work with many different kinds of people with many different and interesting perspectives on life.
