Rhonda Cramer

Faculty - Adjunct
Bio:

Rhonda L. Thorne Cramer's family used to joke that what she wanted for college graduation gifts would be a cane (to hobble up to the podium) and hearing aids (so she could hear her name being called).  It seemed to take forever to get her degree...she started in 1979 and four community colleges and one university later, she got her Master's Degree in English Literature in 1997!  She never gave up the dream of obtaining a college degree and likewise encourages her students to persevere.

She has been teaching since 1997 and has been a substitute teacher, a junior high and high school teacher, as well as teaching at BSU and at various colleges in the Treasure Valley.  Her love is Shakespeare and she loves to bring the period alive by arriving in full royal regalia on the first day of class.

She loves her Scottish heritage.  She played the bass drum in a Scottish pipe band for eight years and sings Scottish folk music.  She is also the worship leader at her church.

She feels very grateful to be a part of CWI.  She is a big believer in community colleges and wants to see her students succeed.  To quote Shakespeare:  "Brevity is the soul of wit."  So, in brief, CWI ROCKS!
