Ken Pollard

Faculty - Adjunct

Ken Pollard earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics from the University of Utah, and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering (Medical Imaging) from the University of Washington.  He has operated the Owyhee Mountain Fiddle Shop in Nampa since 1996, where he makes & repairs violins.  He has taught physics and math courses as an adjunct for BSU, as well as teaching math classes for CWI since Fall 2011.

When Iʼm not teaching math at CWI, I am working on violins. I repair and make violins. Given my educational background (physics & math), I have an interest in the conceptual design of the violin. As far as we know, the violin was invented in northern Italy in the 1500s.
