Johnny Rowing is a Communications instructor for CWI. He received both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Communication from California State University Chico (2005, 2007). Johnny taught as a graduate assistant for CSUC and coached their nationally ranked Speech and Debate team. Johnny has taught for CWI since fall of 2009 and has also served as a coach of CWI’s two National Championship Speech and Debate teams.
Johnny served four years in the United States Air Force as an Avionics Technician on the F-16 Fighting Falcon. Although he enjoyed his time of service, it was always his dream to return to a Community College and teach. He is proud to be a part of this wonderful institution as it grows and meets the needs of the local community. Currently Johnny teaches fully online and face-to-face sections of Communication 101 (Fundamentals of Oral Communication), Communication 209 (Critical Thinking and Argumentation), and coaches Comm 105 (Intercollegiate Tour Speaking).
