Dr. Jeff Reed comes to CWI this year from Dayton OH. For the last eight years, he has been at Clark State Community College in Springfield OH, teaching US History, Western Civ, the Humanities Capstone, and other courses. In his last five years there, he was also the Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator for the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Prior to arriving at CSCC, he was a Communications Associate for USAID’s Africa Bureau/Office of Sustainable Development from 2002 to 2004, and Communications Director for USAID’s US-Asia Environmental Partnership from 2000 to 2002. He has taught history and political science courses at a number of college and universities, including American University in DC, Marymount University in VA, Grand Valley State University in MI, and Oglethorpe University and Georgia Perimeter College in GA.
Jeff holds an ALB (1986) in History from Harvard University in Cambridge MA, and an MA (1994) and PhD (1998) in history from Emory University in Atlanta GA. He is married to his lovely wife Heather, and now lives in Boise with her and their two dogs, Simone and Machiavelli, and he is looking forward to involvement in different aspects of the Boise community.
