Involved in healthcare for the past 10 years, Hammer's journey started as a Physical Therapy Tech at Elks Rehab which is where her interest in surgery began. She is a 2017 graduate of the Surgical Technology program at College of Western Idaho (CWI). She works at several ambulatory surgery centers around the Treasure Valley with a focus on genitourinary, ophthalmic, plastics, and general surgery. Her passion for teaching in the OR led her to her current teaching position at CWI. She obtained her B.S. in Exercise Science and Health from the University of Idaho and is currently furthering her surgical education to become a Surgical First Assistant.
