Connie Black joined College of Western Idaho in 2008. As the first Registrar of a new community college, she worked with a team of passionate professionals dedicated to building a college. She believes education changes lives and is motivated each day by the possibility of helping students reach educational goals. Her favorite time of year is the May commencement ceremony where everyone can participate in celebrating these achievements. Working for over 20 years in higher education, Connie’s interests include customer service, student information systems, evaluation of credit, process improvement, and any opportunity where she can collaborate with stakeholders. Prior to joining the CWI team, Connie worked at Boise State University.
Connie earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boise State University and a Master of Education from Concordia University in Portland. Connie lives in Meridian, Idaho where she enjoys RVing and spending time in the outdoors with her husband and son.
