Amy Nordstrom

Faculty - Adjunct

Amy was born in Nampa, Idaho, but grew up bi-coastal spending time in Washington D.C. and Virginia.  She received both her B.A. and M.A. in English from Boise State University.  Her undergraduate emphasis was English Literature and her graduate focus was English with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Composition.  She taught various Composition courses at BSU from 2001-2006 and is very excited to be teaching at College of Western Idaho.

When she’s not busy grading student essays, she likes to read, write, and ride horses.  She is learning to ride Dressage on her noble steed, Ravel, a 17.2 hand Hanoverian gelding.  She has too many favorite authors to list, but adores Toni Morrison and Margaret Atwood.  She is addicted to Starbucks coffee and is obsessed with The Game of Thrones and Outlander series (both books and television). If you want to call her Khaleesi instead of Professor, she probably wouldn't object.
