College of Western Idaho Qualifies 10 to National BPA Conference

MEDIA ADVISORY – CWI will be sending 10 students to compete at the 2013 Business Professionals of America national competition thanks to a strong showing at the 45th-Annual State Leadership Conference last Friday (March 1) at Ada County Center. CWI captured individual titles in eight events to go along with four runner-up finishes, and six third-place honors.

In addition to an outstanding competition, CWI also celebrated a personal achievement for student Melissa Bausch. Bausch, who is the current CWI chapter president, was elected to serve as 2013-14 Idaho State BPA Secretary. She is the first CWI student to be elected to the Idaho State BPA Officer Team.   

Next up for CWI’s 10 national qualifiers is a trip to Orlando, Fla., May 8-12, to compete in the BPA National Leadership Conference.
