College of Western Idaho (CWI) is pleased to announce CWI’s September Staff of the Month recognition has been awarded to Donna Heathman.
Heathman has been with CWI since January 2013 and is the lead instructor for the Workforce Development Medical Assistant program. Heathman applies many of CWI’s Core Values to her daily work and beyond. She takes pride in fostering a caring atmosphere throughout the program. She is known for being dedicated to the Medical Assistant students and striving to never let them down.
Prior to joining CWI, Heathman worked as a Medical Assistant in the OB/GYN field for 22 years; most of which was in Nevada before spending four years in Utah. Heathman says she has two of the most incredible kids; an 18 year old son and a 12 year old daughter. Her daughter has a rare genetic syndrome that has not only made Heathman a better person, but everyone her daughter meets as well. Heathman says “she is a true angel and keeps me on my toes!”
Heathman loves photography, horses, and her morbidly obese cat. She also enjoys laughing and as of recently, the Idaho Power Ball; which she plans on winning one of these days.
Please join in congratulating Donna. Thank you for your commitment and continued dedication to CWI and its faculty, staff, and students.
