Fall Festivus to Feature New Activities

Published: October 9, 2015

College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Fall Festivus celebration will feature two fun new activities this year, one of which will embrace CWI’s culture of giving. This year’s event is scheduled for Oct. 23 at the Micron Center for Professional Technical Education.

Employees are invited to participate in a Fall Festivus raffle this year which will award one lucky winner with a gift basket full of great prizes. Employees can enter by simply participating in CWI’s Vacation Leave Donation program or giving to a canned food drive to benefit the Idaho Food Bank. Eight hours of donated vacation time will receive two raffle tickets, while three cans of food will earn one ticket. In order to donate leave, please follow the CWI vacation donation eligibility rules. Contact Brittney Trimmer at brittneytrimmer@cwi.edu with any questions.

Also new to Fall Festivus this year will be a chance for employees to showcase their fake-musical talents in a lip sync battle. The deadline to sign-up for the contest is Oct. 20. Please email Nikki Houston at nikkihouston@cwi.edu with a list of three to five song titles and artists, along with any specific lines from the songs you would like to include. The lip sync battle will be held from 4:00-4:30 p.m. during the event.
