Blackboard
Blackboard is an online learning management system that helps faculty make better use of the Web in their classes. Blackboard enables faculty and students to communicate and collaborate through real-time chats, threaded discussions, class e-mail, and online file exchanges. Instructors can create and manage course Web sites without having to know HTML, and course material is easy to put up on the Web using Blackboard software. Since courses are password-protected, faculty can limit access to materials to only registered students in the course.
