Testing Services supports learning in the classroom by providing convenient, secure, and proctored testing for prospective and current College of Western Idaho (CWI) students and can provide resources and assistance for faculty with the following types of exams:

Assistance can also be provided for proctored exams for outside institutions and community certification exams.

Test Proctor Request Form

If you would like to utilize Testing Services for a class exam, the first step is to complete a Test Proctor Request Form. Once reviewed and approved by Testing Services staff, your exam will be listed as an option for students when scheduling an exam. Please allow at least two (2) business days for review upon submission.

For tests with accommodations, see the Students With Accommodations section below.

  • Students With Accommodations

The following steps should be taken to set up exams for students who have requested accommodations.

    • Students seeking accommodations for testing will request accommodations through Student Disability Services. Approved accommodations for your student(s) will be communicated via a Letter of Accommodations.
    • If testing accommodations have been indicated in the Letter of Accommodations for students in your class, you will then complete an Alternative Testing Agreement through your Accessibility Information Management (AIM) Faculty Portal. Only one agreement is required per class.
    • Once your Alternative Testing Agreement has been processed (within 24 – 48 hours of submission), your students may proceed with scheduling an exam through Testing Services.
      • Tests must be scheduled at least two (2) days in advance.
      • Students are responsible for selecting their accommodations when registering for the exam.

For questions regarding testing accommodations, please contact Student Disability Services.

  • Distance Proctoring

Distance proctoring allows CWI students who live more than 50 miles away from a Testing Services location to take exams off campus with an approved proctor.

Contact Testing Services to learn more.

  • Blackboard Support & Training

To learn to create online exams in Blackboard, review the training CTL 211 – Building Test Questions in Blackboard.

Use of Honorlock at a testing center is reserved for students needing accommodation or other special circumstances. Review the section on Testing Center Requirements in the CTL 518 – Honorlock training.
