Information Technology Program Application

Information Technology Program Application

This form is used to apply for admission to the Professional Technical Information Technology (IT) Programs including Cisco Networking and Security Technologies, Computer Support Specialist, Information Security and Digital Forensics, Network Administration, and Software Development.  Students interested in one of these programs must first apply for admission to the College of Western Idaho.  Admission to the College does not guarantee admission to any of the IT Programs. Every fall semester, up to twenty (20) students may be admitted to each of the IT programs. Candidates not admitted to the fall cohort will be placed on an alternate list for admission in the event an opening occurs in that same cohort. If not admitted, applicants must reapply each year.

In addition to general education requirements, applicants may earn additional points from Math and English Compass scores, Information Technology certifications, Tech Prep articulated high school IT courses, completion of CISA 101, its equivalency or test out. Please refer to the Admission Ranking Criteria and Score Sheet on the IT program website for details.

It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you complete these steps at least two (2) weeks prior to the application deadline to ensure your transcripts have been received and that your coursework has been evaluated in time to submit this application.
