Can I give you my gift in person?

Yes! Visit the CWI Foundation office at the College’s Nampa Campus Administration Building in Room 101 to make a donation in person.

Can I provide multiple matching gifts and challenges on CWI Giving Day?

On CWI Giving Day, donors may only make one matching gift and one challenge and can give to up to five different designation areas at a time.

How do I decide where to give?

There are over 20 giving opportunities available during CWI Giving Day. The choice is yours! Each time you make a gift online, you can direct your gift to up to five different designations.  

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! The CWI Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our taxpayer identification number is ​#27-1159705​.

Will my gift qualify for the Idaho Education Tax Credit?

Donations to the CWI Foundation may qualify for a 50% tax credit for Idaho residents — a reduction in the actual tax you owe.

Your tax benefit is dependent on your personal income level and filing status. Please consult your tax advisor to learn more.

CWI Online

Are online classes at CWI comparable in quality to those taken in-person?

Yes, online classes offer the same level of quality as those taught in-person. Online faculty must complete an online instructor certification course and are exceptionally well trained to design and teach online courses. Many of the College's in-person instructors also teach online.

Can I take online and traditional face-to-face classes?

Yes, a large number of our students take a combination of online, hybrid, and traditional on-campus classes. 

Can I use my phone for Zoom?

Zoom is available on both iOS and Android mobile devices in the app store. Make sure to download the app and set up your account prior to the beginning of your first class.

What equipment/software do I need to take classes online?

Some classes will be asynchronous and not require anything beyond a computer and internet access. Others may require you to have headphones or speakers, microphone, and/or a web cam. Many computers have built-in microphones but not all.

Are credits earned through CWI's Dual Credit program transferable to other colleges and universities?

Dual credits earned at College of Western Idaho (CWI) are accepted by all Idaho institutions of higher education. While guaranteed to transfer, these credits may not apply toward your major. Please consult with the school(s) you wish to attend regarding how your credits will transfer.
