Since tuition is low for a community college, why is there still a need for scholarship assistance?

Most of our students are self-supporting and vested in our community. CWI is truly their choice for higher education. Many students face financial challenges that make even low tuition a barrier. CWI welcomes a diverse population including first time college students, single parents, returning veterans, and young adults working full time while juggling family and other economic responsibilities. Scholarship donations to the CWI Foundation directly help students pursue their career dreams. A scholarship of just $500 has a tremendous impact as compared with a similar gift made to a private or public university.
