How has CWI met the demand up till now?

Since our first class offerings in January 2009, CWI’s enrollment has skyrocketed making us not only the newest community college in Idaho, but now the largest community college in the state – and one of the fastest growing colleges in the Nation. To keep up with the demand, CWI assumed locations around the valley in leased business facilities costing the college more than $2 Million a year. So far, only one permanent building has been added, the Micron Center for Professional Technical Education. This development was made possible by help from the Albertson Foundation and Micron Foundation as well as hundreds of local businesses and individuals providing financial support. The facility has quickly become a regionally recognized training center that is used to not only train students coming through CWI’s professional-technical programs, but it is also used to support just in time and customized training for local businesses including Commercial Tire, Bronco Motors, AC/Delco, Kenworth, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Carquest, Western States Cat, and others.
