How is CWI addressing the workforce gap?

Idaho employers indicate that 61% of the jobs by 2018 will require a post‐secondary credential. In addition to bachelor degrees and higher degree levels, post‐secondary credentials also include industry certifications and associate degrees which can be attained through shorter term training. These programs are specific to what community colleges provide for workforce readiness. In the coming years, our community needs more skilled professionals in a variety of areas. The top needs and fastest growing include health sciences, computer science and technology, business and economics, engineering, and communications. CWI is focusing our priorities in those areas specific to our local economy.
