Is CWI an accredited college?

CWI delivers college credit instruction, certificates and degrees through its memorandum of understanding with the College of Southern Idaho (CSI).  CSI is accredited through The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The Commission is a regional postsecondary accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

CSI is partnering with CWI in order to assist CWI in meeting standards for accreditation and to help CWI offer college credit instruction, certificates, and degrees while seeking accredited status.

On January 11, 2012, NWCCU granted CWI Candidacy for Accreditation status at the associate degree level.  Candidacy is not accreditation nor does it ensure eventual accreditation. The College will host NWCCU for another visit in fall 2016 at which point the College is hopeful to receive a recommendation of full accreditation status in early 2017.
