What is ASCWI?

Your student government, ASCWI is committed to representing and serving all students of the College of Western Idaho. Your student leaders present and resolve student concerns; seek out opportunities for improvement within the college; provide resources; and enhance student life and the community around us.

Student government is made up of an 12-member senate is presided over by the ASCWI Executive branch lead by the ASCWI Presidents and includes Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian. Any student can run for election each Spring.

Meetings are held every Monday from 4 to 6pm in NMPT 1117: Students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Get Involved: Elections are in March each school year. Stop by the ASCWI Offices, NCAB 115F. Let your voice be heard!

Pizza With the Presidents

Stop by one of our campuses for some pizza and a chance to meet the CWI and ASCWI presidents, Bert and Joi! Hang out, ask them some questions, or just grab some food. Are you interested in learning more about government? Are there issues on campus you would like help solve? Do you like working in a team and solving problems? If so, you’re a perfect candidate for ASCWI Student Government! Perks include priority registration, and a scholarship. The time commitment is similar to a 3 credit class. If this sounds like something you would be interested in come attend our “Interested Candidate Meeting.”

CWI students are giving back this holiday season with a number of opportunities for the College community to support.

UROC (United Registered Organizations and Clubs) hosted a spooktacular Halloween Party on Friday, Oct. 25th.  This is the third year student organizations have hosted a CWI Halloween bash.  Nearly 20 student organizations participated, sponsoring booths and activities for all ages, including a haunted house, costume contest, pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, crafts and more!
