Be sure to complete a CWI admission application as soon as possible as you will need your student identification (ID) number in order to complete the CWI Foundation online scholarship application. The application for admission is available online or at any of our One Stop Student Services locations. A CWI One Stop Student Services Specialist will contact you once your application for admission is received. After your application fee is paid and transcripts are received you will be sent a letter with your student ID number.
2. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Federal student aid programs such as grants, work-study, or student loans, can make CWI an even better value! Please complete the FAFSA online as soon as possible - the Federal Financial Aid application process can take several weeks. Be sure to obtain a Federal PIN that can be used to sign your FAFSA electronically as well as access your FAFSA later if you need to make corrections.
3. Complete your CWI Scholarship Application Online
Click the link below to begin your scholarship application. You will be required to create a username and password so you may save your work and come back to it later. Scholarships are awarded once a year for the following academic year. The priority deadline for 2011-2012 academic year is May 1, 2011. It is important to have your completed scholarship application submitted by the priority deadline to have your best chance to obtain a scholarship in the initial awarding period. Applications received after May 1 will be included in a secondary awarding session. The secondary awarding session will allow the Foundation to award any funds which remain unspent after the initial awarding session.
You may be asked to answer a personal statement or essay question depending on the scholarship. We highly recommend that you complete your work in Microsoft Word or a comparable program, then copy and paste your answer into the box provided. The online application does not check for grammatical or spelling errors.
Once you Apply for Admission, pay your application fee and submit transcripts, your Student ID # will be sent to you via standard mail. You'll need this ID # to complete the scholarship application. Please include any zeros at the beginning of your ID #.
