Program Overview

Are you creative, highly motivated, and enjoy teamwork? A career in marketing could be calling you. Following graduation you will be positioned to find a job in advertising, promotions, public relations, and sales—or maybe even go on to start your own business. You will gain excellent skills in traditional and emerging marketing techniques and be introduced to the world of e-commerce. Our students also have opportunities to receive valuable experience by showcasing their talents at state and national competitions.

  • Perform market research and plan marketing programs
  • Apply management principles and leadership techniques
  • Implement advertising and promotional strategies
  • Perform retail merchandising
  • Manage and control inventory
  • Market and sell products and services
  • Use business applications and graphics software
  • Use desktop publishing software to develop publications
  • Develop marketing, promotional, and public relations campaign ideas
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Handle basic accounting, business math, and legal issues
  • Communicate professionally, both in writing and in person
  • Conduct an effective job search and more
