“I think for any student, we offer a number of liberal arts classes that provide an outlet in terms of creative avenues. Many students take a liberal arts class simply because they enjoy it. It adds to their quality of life and the college experience.”

- Brenda Fisher, Art Program Head

Career Info

While receiving a Liberal Arts associate degree from CWI will improve your chances of finding satisfying employment compared to no college degree, it is recommended that most students receive a four-year degree to greatly improve career opportunities and monetary compensation.  According to Idaho Department of Labor (http://labor.idaho.gov/publications/educationpays.pdf), with an Associate of Arts, average hourly compensation is $19.91 while a Bachelor of Arts has an average hourly compensation of $26.49.

Most employers prefer candidates to hold a bachelor’s degree.  Your associate’s in Liberal Arts will transfer to Boise State University, Idaho State University, and University of Idaho where you may finish upper division course-work toward this pursuit.
