Construction and Apprenticeships
The construction field has maintained a constant demand for highly skilled workers thanks to technological advances and a need for these professionals to upgrade their skill sets to stay ahead of the demand. This demand is expected to increase as the workforce continues to age and many highly skilled workers retire. In Idaho, construction currently accounts for a significant portion of the workforce and is expected to grow significantly in the near future.
According to the Idaho Department of Labor, in 2011 construction provided 34,806 jobs around the state, just over five percent of Idaho’s total employment. By 2018, that number is projected to grow to 48,601.
At CWI, we are helping to accommodate growth in the Idaho construction industry by providing a diverse number of training courses. If you are interested in pursuing basic certifications, we offer training in areas that include Flagging for Traffic Control and Blueprint Reading. For those of you needing education for a long-term career path, we also provide training in conjunction with on-the-job apprenticeships for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Take advantage of this need for construction and specialty trade workers, and start your training today!
